Pompeii

Details

Pompeii is the biggest archaeological center of Italy and one of the most important in the world.

In AD 79 the Vesuvius erupted engulfing the city and its inhabitants with a terrible storm of cinders and ash. When the remains of Pompeii were discovered around 1750 it looked as though a spell had been cast to freeze all life. The bodies of people were unearthed along with their houses, temples, works of art and everyday objects. Pompeii is a visit you can’t miss, walking around the patrician villas, the House of the Mysteries, the House of Vettii and the House of the Faun. It is also possible to do a night-itinerary, listening to magic sounds and voices while walking around the domus or the temples.
