Naples is one of the
oldest cities in the Mediterranean.
It is one of the few European cities of the ancient world that
has never been complitely extinguished. Each corner of the city
describes a piece of history. Founded by Greeks, it was embellished
and enlarged by the Romans. The most important monuments are
the Piazza Plebiscito with the Palazzo Reale, the San Carlo Theatre,
the Castel Nuovo, the Castel dell’Ovo. To be not missed
are Museum of Capodimonte and the National Archaeological Museum. |
